a must read
Rapture the hope of the saints is a word that describes the ecstasy and joyful experience of the saints when it will occur. You cannot be a Christian and yet deny the reality of such imminent awesome experience, Paul said, of all men, you are most miserable. Rapture is not a word found in the bible, in fact, it originated from the Latin word RAPIO, which means being caught up with or transported and the word was first used n 1594. Rapture from the Latin meaning to its term and its biblical analysis is the overwhelming joyful ecstasy of being caught up out of this world to meet the Lord in the air. The worst experience in life will be to be left behind or to miss the ride. This is the removal of the church and gentiles from this world by the Holy Spirit. ReplyDeleteI said in my message THE RAPTURE, “you cannot be a Christian and yet do not believe in rapture, the hope and expectation of the saints” because if you do not, you are most miserable.
ReplyDeleteFrom the Old Testament GOD has proven to us with instances that rapture is a reality.
By definition and New Testament biblical analysis rapture, means transferred to, raised to heaven, taken away, caught up and transported to meet him in the air, from there to enter heaven with him.
Instances of rapture in the Old Testament.
1. Enoch: “Heb 11:5
“Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God” [Gen 5:21-24.] Amplify
2. Elijah: 2 Kings 2:11-12
“As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind”
NIV
“Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left” Matthew 24:40 KJV
3. Jesus: Matthew 28:6 “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay” (KJV)
“So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God” mark 16:19 (KJV)
The resurrection of Jesus signifies the rapture of the dead saints, which would precede the living that is signified by his ascension.
Rapture is reality and imminent.
